Peter Egon de Svastich is a Managing Partner of Global Emerging Markets (GEM) and interfaces with GEM on behalf of Relief in a broad array of institutional and regulatory matters. Peter has deep expertise in the investment management and financial services industry both from a U.S. and international perspective. He worked as an investment banker in Brazil and ran the International Division of one of Brazil’s top five banks, where he spearheaded its international expansion into 6 countries on 5 continents. Peter also founded WestHem International Group, which had its introducing broker license in the U.S. and a Bahamian Private Equity Fund. He has formed joint ventures in banking and alternative investments with N.M. Rothschild & Sons in the U.K., Banco Internacional y de Comercio Exterior in Chile, Banque Francaise de Commerce Exterieur (BFCE) in France, and BNP in Brazil.
Peter was awarded a Latin American Teaching Fellowship from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He received an LLB/JD from The Yale Law School and graduated with a B.A. in Art and Archeology (Cum Laude) from Princeton University.
